The inspiration for today's post is the current Wednesday Sketch Challenge over on the My Favorite Things Challenge Blog! This is the sketch I have followed for this card:
When I was trying to decide what to do for this challenge, I had quite a specific idea of what I wanted to create and it turned out pretty much how I planned for once! And here is my finished card:
I started of by die-cutting two of the largest dies from the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangles die set from some Hunkydory Ink Me! cardstock. With the first one, I stamped the stars from the MFT Stars Above stamp set onto the top section with VersaMark, sprinkled over some white embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool. I then inked over that portion of the cardstock with some Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink, spritzed it with water and dabbed off the excess with a paper towel.
The second rectangle was cut slightly above the centre with a Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud Borders die at a slight diagonal to replicate the sketch. I then used the MFT Mini Cloud Edges stencil and some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to create clouds on that piece.
I then stamped the large Stars sentiment from the MFT Written In The Stars stamp set with VersaMark ink onto the cloud panel and heat set it with some Wow! St.Tropez Sands embossing powder. I also covered a piece of cardstock in VersaMark and covered it with the same powder and heat set, then die cut the stars from the MFT Shining Stars die set to go around the large word.
I stamped the smaller sentiment from the MFT Written In The Stars stamp set in VersaFine Onyx Black ink onto some white cardstock and cut into a banner shape, adding it to the card front with some foam tape.
For the inside I stamped another sentiment from the Written In The Stars stamp set with VersaFine Onyx Black and stamped two of the stars from the Stars Above stamp set in Memento London Fog ink.
Thank you for stopping by and hope you will pop by again soon!
